Recovery Celebration


Drug and Alcohol Presentations, Incorporated is proud to announce its first annual Recovery Celebration on Saturday, November 18, 2017.  It will be in the activities room of Kanawha United Presbyterian Church, 1009 Virginia Street, East, Charleston.  It will run from 6pm until 9pm.  Matt Boggs, Executive Director of Recovery Point based in Huntington, will be the keynote speaker.  Recovery Point has substance abuse recovery centers in several West Virginia cities.  Dinner will be catered by the Top Spot and will include:  Choice of Chicken & Dumplings, Pork Chops and Gravy, or Roast Beef and Gravy; Salad; Baked Potato; Green Beans; Fried Apples; Rolls; Beverages; and Blackberry Cobbler, Graham Cracker Pie, Pumpkin Pie, and Cherry Dream Pie.  After dinner entertainment will be provided by Chick Maddox and Friends, which is made up of Ron Sowell on lead guitar and backup vocals, Margaret Wilson on piano, Ashley Nessman on flute, and Chick Maddox as lead vocalist.  We are also looking for a lead female vocalist and a small group of singers to complement our groups.  Musical pieces will be selected from the following:
