Recent Events at Drug and Alcohol Presentations, Inc.

Work at Drug and Alcohol Presentations, Inc., is still going strong, despite some serious new challenges this year.  Our founder and president, Charles Maddox, had open-heart surgery earlier this year, as well as a pacemaker put in, after the discovery that he had congestive heart failure.  He has been having a very difficult time with his health, dealing with emphysema and COPD on top of his recovery from the surgery.  But he remains dedicated and devoted to this work, and in part feels he must do so because there is no one else willing to take over the reins of this corporation.  If you are interested in volunteering with this organization in any way at all, please let Mr. Maddox know by calling him at (304) 925-1565.

In other news, we had a successful annual celebration banquet last month.  Everyone who came had a good time.  Our dinner was catered by The Top Spot.  Michelle Easton, dean of the School of Pharmacy at the University of Charleston, delivered the keynote speech.  We would like to say thank you to everyone who came and helped us gather fresh momentum for our work of helping prevent drug and alcohol abuse throughout our region by spreading education and raising awareness.
