It’s National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week

We’d like to take a moment to recognize that this week  is National Alcohol & Drugs Facts Week, the annual week of events and media that focus on spreading true information about drugs and alcohol to teenagers. Led by scientists at the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the week is designed to inspire local events for teenagers featuring educational content about substance abuse.

You can visit the National Alcohol & Drug Facts Week (NADFW) website at www.teens.drugabuse.gov to access a wealth of teen-oriented material, including facts, blogs, stories, videos, and games, as well as information for educators and a search feature to look for local NADFW events. We are happy to see that there are many high schools, churches, and other organizations throughout West Virginia holding NADFW events this week!

Our hope is that many young people will be reached by National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week and will not go down the destructive path of substance abuse.
